URBAN ART OASIS

Born in Padua, he began his graffiti career in the early ’90s. Alongside his work in the writing world, he has pursued an artistic career in painting, experimenting with materials and techniques to transpose his writing experience onto more conventional media.

In his works, dreamlike atmospheres evoke empathetic aesthetic suggestions, causing observers to immediately project themselves into the artist’s creations. The artist has taken lettering to such a level of complexity that the sinuous dynamics of the letters in his name take flight and break down into a mix of oriental and psychedelic influences.

His works are characterized by soft shapes, sharp lines, emotional splashes, and highly dynamic movements, contrasted with geometric patterns where letters find the space to merge with the figurative world. The blend of lettering and figurative elements, present since his early days, and the frequent use of bright tones and strong contrasts, allow him to produce scenarios with intense chromatic impacts. In these works, the art breaks through the barrier of two-dimensionality and, through a study of depth and perspective, detaches itself from the wall.

The inclusion of limbs, faces, and figures allows him to reach peaks of tension, transcending the three dimensions to involve the fourth: time. In his research on letters, he uses the tag as a vehicle for study, the gesture of movement as an expression of will, and lettering as the resulting construct, visualizing an often distorted and psychedelic dimension where the gestural nature of calligraphy is pronounced and crystallized in the moment of expression.

There seems to be a tension in a precarious yet perfect balance that animates Made514’s work: that between chaos and control. It is a thin thread that manages, in graffiti as well as in works on canvas and paper, to combine two apparently antithetical aspects into a fascinating visual fusion. This same tension returns like an uninterrupted trail throughout the artist’s production. The letters have progressively become more fluid in Made’s pieces, turning into shapes until they merge into a chaotic sinuosity governed by very precise laws. His work has led him to paint and exhibit in many Italian and international cities.
