URBAN ART OASIS
I don’t have any romantic stories to tell about how my passion for photography began—no memories of me as a tiny child holding my parents’ camera, no innate desire to take photos from my earliest years. But I loved to draw; as a child, I drew constantly, which led me to earn an arts-focused high school diploma. Perhaps there were already some clues… but I only discovered my passion around the age of 27, almost by chance: one autumn Sunday morning, I decided to go to the beach, bringing along an old SLR and a roll of film for no particular reason.
I’ve always considered training fundamental in any area of life, and photography was no exception. This was followed by courses and workshops that allowed me to learn the basics first and then more advanced techniques, spanning various genres: from portraits and still life to reportage. It’s a journey within this art form that continues to this day.
I’m a person of few words, and perhaps that’s exactly why photography allows me to share my perspective on the world: the unguarded moment, the trace that something is about to happen or has happened. I look for the perfect instant, when the world drops all its defenses and shows its beauty in what might seem like an insignificant detail to most.
The Photographs
An artistic project has been carried out in the new Mobile Homes: the shots by photographers Anna Socci and Sonia Uniati line the bedroom walls, creating an ideal photo gallery inspired by the guiding theme “Urban Art Oasis.”
